Suriname participates in the International Tourism exchange fair (BIT)

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Tourism (TCT), in collaboration with the Suriname Hospitality and Tourism Association (SHATA) and the private sector, will participate in the International Tourism exchange fair (BIT) in Milan from 12 to 14 February 2023. , Italy.

During this fair, the destination Suriname will be presented to the traveling public under the slogan: “Suriname, the Hidden Treasure of South America”.

More awareness will also be given to Suriname by exhibiting the destination guide and by distributing Surinamese snacks and drinks.

It is the first time for Suriname to participate in a Tourism fair in Italy. The organization expects almost 60,000 visitors. The participation in this fair is one of the activities that the Directorate of Tourism has undertaken to attract potential tourists.
